one show in an island of.... other stuff

Hey folks,

resting after 40 shows in the last three months! things are a little
quieter in the Spirits camp now, but here's a bit of news for you...

looking forward/looking back
the last gig we did in perth - ramble & the sleepers cd launch - was
a great way to wrap up an awesome few months of shows and
tours. if you weren't there, the night ended with the venue shutting
the power down on us whilst the audience kept demanding more...
the encore - sans power - had us sitting with the audience on the
chesterfield couches with Joel and Cam from the Rambles, Emily
Barker (over from the UK) and half the audience singing through a
(truly) acoustic number in a rousing show of voice. truly
memorable! big thanks to Ramble & the Sleepers.

picnic gig
we've got a one-off afternoon show we're doing for the Town of
Vincent next Sunday 25th March 3:30-5:30pm at Banks Reserve in
Mt Lawley. it's a 'bring a picnic' kind of arrangement and is free.
come down and find a bit of park and relax. I'll have the band with
me and we'll throw in some new tunes.

recording
while taking a break between tours, I've been recording some
overdubs for our new record - the one we started down in our
farmhouse hideaway - which will be out by August of this year.

Tim Stacey and I are also heading to Melbourne in April to take up
an offer from ThirtyMill Studios to do some free recording. ThirtyMill
studios gave us a call and offered us the time after hearing one of
our demos! we're pretty stoked about that. I've earmarked a bunch
of new songs that we'll start capturing there.

maybe see you at Banks Reserve... if not, we'll cross paths some
time soon. until then, follow your heart and do the things that make
you feel good!
