tour diary... in a fashion

hey folks,

with four dates down and five to go, this tour with Nathan Kaye is
fairly cranking along.

from the sophistication of the floreat on thursday, a slimmish crowd
in both number and figure we headed to the sticky carpet of players
bar in mandurah on friday. when midnight happened and nathan
finished the crowd turned not in to pumpkins but happy beam
swilling bogans banging their heads to enter sandman. we
retreated to an estuarine hideaway where harmony prevailed. enter
saturday, and with a sunny trip to dunsborough punctuated by
conversations on how we might fix the world and all things musical
we played under the dionysian glory vine of the cape wine bar
resplendent with warm light and starlight through the courtyard
ceiling. a great night had by all and then sunday, after dipping our
limbs in to the aquamarine of eagle bay we reassembled at caves
house atop our mini roman amphitheatre amongst the peppermint
trees, lemon scented gums and dying golden sunlight we sung up
to the nearly ashen sky, slide didge echoing out in to the ether.
after a few days respite, the caravan rolls on to the metropolis now,
and so it is that we'll be at:

** the PADDO tonight - wed 6th - with Toby
** CLANCY'S tomorrow - thurs 7th - with Martine Locke (US)
** cranking @ the INDI BAR - fri 8th - again with Toby but with
drummers and others for this one and only
** the PRINCE in bunbury - sat 9th - hello Mitch!, and finally,
** the CIDERY in bridgetown - sun 10th

it's a feelgood tour. warm and loving people everywhere we go,
affirming life in all it's ugliness and sublime beauty. it's a journey.
see you there with a beer in your hand. or a chardonnay of course,
for those WCE supporters.
