a month of sundays... and then some

Hi folks,

WAM SHOWCASE

First up - huge thanks to all of you who turned up for the WAM gig on Wednesday @ the Paddo. They reckon a couple of hundred were there.. a great effort for a mid-week gig. We tried to keep it less 'rock' with it being a 'roots' night and all... and a big hi to all of our new subscribers.

INDI RESIDENCY

Next - we're starting a month-long residency at the Indi Bar on Sundays... Clem and Simon that is; doing an acoustic/electric duo show that we're billing 'a month of sundays'. It's a three hour show, free entry, from 5:30pm, starting Sunday 5th March.

Musically, if you haven't seen one of these shows, they're more relaxed than the band thing. The usual deal is that Simon throws new songs at Clem and he makes it look like he's known them for years. Clem, who plays keys with the Spirits, is a special guitarist. And he has futuristic foot pedals that allow him to extract incredible noises and create some amazing atmospheres for the songs. We also go through the back catalogue of the different albums and dust off some ol' favourites for some re- interpreting.

DUNSBOROUGH: CAPE WINE BAR

This Saturday 4th March the Spirits play an acoustic set at the Cape Wine Bar. This place has the best range of wines, tapas to die for and it's free entry to wander in. If you're going to be in the vicinty, you don't want to miss out.

BLOGWORLD

Finally - our e-tech guru Dean Usher, who patiently drags us forward in to the next millenium, has set up a few band/simon blogs... one of which stores these email bulletins for your perusal. You'll be able to check it out at: http://www.simonlondon.com/newsletters/

That's all.

See you soon.
