UNPACK YOUR SUITCASE - TOUR FINISHES
Posted Tuesday, August 01, 2006
After a blasting final gig at the Newport last night, we're officially done with the Highway State Of Mind tour. We wanted to reach as many people as we could with our new album that we're pretty happy about, so the tour, from the south and west to the east and north seemed the best way we could do exactly that.
A huge thanks to all those who came out and supported the band at the shows, who bought cds and t-shirts and who made it all worthwhile. The reality is, we dragged ourselves from one place to the next so that we could play in front of you and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to.
In and out of rented cars, borrowed cars, planes, suitcases, roadcases, pubs, bars, breweries, wineries and all that other stuff that comes with the beautiful craziness of touring, we'd like to also extend a huge thanks to those who helped us out in a big way. To our families for holding the fort while we were away, to those who gave us places to stay, ran us out to car hire places and airports and took us to their favourite local haunts... you know who you all are and we're very grateful for your help in our endeavours. Many thanks.
The band is now going to take some time off, I'll probably a few solo shows and in October, we'll be off to do some more recording. The wheels keep turning. We'll be seeing you soon.
Thanks,
Simon et al.
